Congratulations Sue & Bill on finally getting married.

John has sent in some photos which can be seen by clicking on the photo or here. He also sent in this explaination of Bill's outfit:

Bills outfit circa 1906 is that of Orkney`s Ambassador to Norway of which he is the third holder. Orkney having been run by Norway until then I think. Anyway its a fine hat and the gold braid is magnificent and very
uncomfortable around the neck.

Just thought I ought to let you know a little about the wedding. However as it might just go out on the web (you bet it will) I shall make sure all the things I think were funny are left unsaid so I wont upset anyone.

(The uniform was very old and medals were worn, I had my badge for the 100 yard dash ready to flash should the need have arisen). Sue looked lovely and very happy Bill looked lovely and very happy. Robin wore a kilt and had too many photographs taken of him (by complete strangers on the tube on the way in !!) so I have no record of that event. Robert made the cake in June it was lovely and looked very happy too. I spent most of the lunch trying to explain to a Norwegian Sue's relationship to four very tall blond boys and a tall blond girl -which of course is lovely and very happy . The Norwegian guests all sang a dear little tinkly song to wish the lovely (and very happy) couple well in their future. Bob gave a funny speech with Welsh bits (rabbiting on ?) and some sound advice. John and Rachel's children were beautifully behaved. Bryony and Sally looked glam and young Little Viv came over from good ole us of a as did Richard who arrived dot on time and impressed everyone -wonder which airline he used?

Actually it was great fun - I had forgotten how nice London is in the early morning sunshine and it was fun to see people instead of cows and grass. I felt thoroughly bucolic
